    Generally, we anticipate the job market being active over the next few months, sadly, all for the wrong reasons, without much business growth in the country. However, due to the recent increase in overall annual inflation, consumer index pressure ,Executive PAYE upward deduction movement, new Surtax introduced, and high school fee increases to name a few factors, outside political issues. Employees will seek redress through searching for new jobs paying higher salary and benefits levels.     You must be well qualified and able to attend to the following duties:

    Overall responsibilities

  • Oversee, manage and control the switching engine/system and network; support and maintain all relative equipment; ensure smooth and efficient operation. Maintain the network infrastructure including the switch routers

  • Be responsible for the technical specifications document; and attend to technical issues raised by members and internally, including link related problems

  • Manage and maintain hardware infrastructure for SaQe/M-commerce/E-commerce

  • Plan and manage system related Projects(or as assigned) as and when they happen, start to finish

  • In charge of change management process

  • In charge of the BCP and DRP in relation to the  switch including DRS policies and procedures

  • Supporting the backup system, policies and procedures

  • Attend to technical issues raised by members and internally, including link related problems

  • Provide support services to members who fail SLAs

  • Resolving transaction errors

  • To ensure that the switch “engine” performs efficiently 24/7 that technically the switch always operates with state-of-the art technology and with legal and current software via updates, patches etc. Chairperson of the technical committee and first point of all technical support internally and externally. Responsible for the Technical Specifications document and ensures that members comply with the Technical Specifications document. Reports to the General Manager.

  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS/JOB SKILLS

  • In possession of a technical degree/diploma/computer skills

  • At least five working years exposure to / experience on projects

  • Familiar with project management software

  • At least five years technical support

  • Banking knowledge will be an advantage

  • Knowledge of switching platforms like CR2, Postilion, etc

  • Experience in interfacing across different platforms – hardware and software

  • Team player, with good interpersonal skills

  • Flexibility during times of change

  • Good communications skills (oral and written), in all directions

  • Understand the behaviour of application software

  • Know programming languages

  • A strong grasp of computer security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems
